Early Bird

These photos were taken in the summer of 2018 while visiting my maternal grandparents in Ben Tre, Vietnam. In seeking to connect with my ba ngoai and ong ngoai, I found myself transformed into a childlike participant in their day-to-day, curious to confront the passage of time through the emotional spaces of a home we sometimes share with one another.
